This brand new course is aimed at schools who use PIVATS to assess small steps of progress and who want to develop effective practice for pupils who are struggling with their language and communication development.

An increasing number of children are entering school with delayed language development and/or specific language and communication needs. This has a significant impact on their social and emotional development, their learning and their overall life outcomes. What can be done?

The PIVATS Language and Communication Toolkit has been written to support provision for pupils who are being assessed on the PIVATS milestones for Listening and Understanding and/or Talk and Communication. Louise was the main author of this and will share practical guidance on how to get the most out of the Toolkit and what else can be done.
