This course is designed for teachers who want to develop their confidence, knowledge and practical understanding of teaching the fundamental games skills required in KS2 PE. The day is split into two focused sections:
- Morning: Invasion games skills;
- Afternoon: Striking and fielding games, net and wall activities, and target games.

Delegates will learn how to teach essential sport specific skills across a variety of games, alongside exploring how to plan and sequence learning effectively. The course will also support teachers in adapting lessons to meet the needs of their pupils and in understanding how to assess skills, introduce tactics and teach the key principles that underpin games activities.

All participants will leave with a clearer understanding of progression, practical strategies for effective games teaching and greater confidence in delivering high quality PE lessons.

Please note: There is a practical element, so delegates should dress appropriately for physical activity.
