- Strengthen their ability to move effectively between concrete, pictorial and abstract forms (CPA) to improve pupil reasoning, fluency and retention

Across the three half day sessions, participants will:
- Day 1 (Monday 1st February) – Basic Number: Explore representations for number, place value and operations using place value counters, dienes, two colour counters, arrays and area models.
- Day 2 (Wednesday 10th March) – Algebra: Develop understanding of algebraic structure through algebra tiles, bar models and the grid/area model for expressions, equations, expansion and factorisation.
- Day 3 (Tuesday 20th April) – Multiplicative Reasoning: Use bar models, double number lines and ratio tables to support proportional reasoning across fractions, ratio and percentages.
