Several years ago, EYFS Assessment was part of Statutory Moderation via cluster or individual visit. High quality professional dialogue led to the EYFS being recognised as one of the most consistent and accurate data sets. To support Lancashire Schools in their assessment, we have decided to offer the opportunity for external moderation to be reintroduced in a cost effective and convenient manner.
These half day sessions are designed to support high quality, accurate teacher assessment at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage. They will enable practitioners to:
• Benchmark evidence against national exemplification
• Moderate end of EYFS judgements against the Early Learning Goals (ELGs)
• Identify strengths and areas for development to support a smooth transition into Year 1
