The course will:
discuss how to incorporate the 'sense of place' and personal geographies into the geography curriculum;
define the concepts of migration, democracy and diversity and highlight how these can be integrated into primary geography;
look at how enquiry and fieldwork can be used to support these concepts;
provide practical activities, resources and a sequence of learning to teach these concepts.

Migration, democracy, and diversity are essential concepts in primary geography, as they help young learners understand the dynamic and interconnected world they live in. This course looks at how to support these concepts in the primary geography curriculum. This course can be run as a school-based session.
