Course Aims
The course will:
• Identify the key skills, knowledge and concepts linked to LITERACY and MATHS using our new key learning document.
• Provide a range of strategies to support effective teaching and learning, including the role of the adult, questioning, purposeful enhancements.
• Provide practitioners with ideas of how to deliver appropriate activities to ensure children have a strong foundation within these areas of learning and development.
• Offer opportunities for practitioners to explore a range of exciting, relevant, and challenging activities related to children’s prior knowledge, individual interests, possible/predictable themes, etc.

This course is suitable for EYFS teachers and teaching assistants.

The whole course was so helpful.
Really liked looking at the different evidence and research, alongside practical ideas. It was a great opportunity to also see CAL in EYFS provision in the classroom set up at Fairfield.
