** The course delivery will be available this year as either a face-to-face option at a Lancashire venue or alternatively an online course delivered via two Teams meetings. Please note the dates are different for the face-to-face and online sessions, and ensure you select the option you prefer.**
This course is for practitioners and teachers working with EAL learners in nursery settings and reception classes. By the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of language development and the cultural and linguistic needs of young EAL learners, know how to include and support them in adult-led activities and continuous provision in the setting. Practitioners will also be provided with guidance in planning for language development opportunities and strategies.
