Teaching Climate Science as Part of the Reformed Science Curriculum (New course)

Course Aims:
- To explore the reformed national curriculum for science published in Spring 2027, particularly the increased focus on climate science
- To understand the practical implications of teaching climate science and plan for potential investigative procedures
- To exemplify lesson content and teaching activities as part of the new science curriculum, first teaching in September 2028

This course is aimed at science teachers wishing to increase their knowledge and understanding of reforms published in the new science curriculum in Spring 2027, including (but not limited to):
greenhouse effect, as well as carbon emissions, burning of fossil fuels and deforestation being more explicitly understood in the curriculum as contributing factors towards effects such as rising sea levels and extreme weather events
