This practical and interactive course is designed to support teachers in confidently delivering and assessing fundamental movement skills using the KS1 Lancashire Baseline Assessment materials. Throughout the session, participants will explore Lancashire’s 10 Fundamental Movement Skills, develop a secure understanding of child development in early movement, and learn how to effectively assess pupils using the PE Passport platform, the baseline unit of work, and the teacher resource book.
Teachers will gain hands-on experience observing children, making accurate judgements, and recording their stage of development. The course then guides participants in using assessment information to design an informed and needs led curriculum map that supports children’s physical development and progression.
This is an active, practical course—please dress appropriately for movement
