Course Aims:
- To develop pupils’ capacity to think mathematically, not just perform procedures
- To strengthen teaching of problem solving, reasoning and strategy selection, with a focus on conditional knowledge
- To apply metacognitive approaches (planning, monitoring, evaluating) that build independence and self regulation
- To embed oracy routines that make mathematical thinking visible and deepen reasoning
