Course Aims:
- Understand the key responsibilities of leading a maths department, including curriculum, quality assurance and team development
- Keep up to date with local and national developments, including forthcoming curriculum changes and implications for departmental practice
- Strengthen confidence in leading people and managing change, including communication, expectations and handling challenges
- Develop practical approaches to monitoring, evaluation and improvement, using evidence to inform judgements and actions

This two session programme is designed for experienced secondary maths teachers with TLR responsibilities, such as seconds in department, key stage leads or aspiring heads of maths, who want to prepare for the next step in their leadership journey.
