The course will:
• Build teachers’ confidence in teaching map skills and graphicacy progressively from EYFS to Year 6
• Explore practical classroom activities using maps, atlases, digital tools, and real-world data.
• Strengthen understanding of key concepts such as scale and interpretation
• Provide strategies on how to adapt teaching to support all learners in this area of the curriculum.

This course explores how primary teachers can confidently develop pupils’ map literacy and graphicacy from EYFS to Year 6. It equips teachers with strategies, ready-to-use activities, and progression ideas to help pupils interpret, create, and communicate using maps and geographical diagrams.
