This new course will support Reception Teachers and Subject Leaders to examine how to plan effectively for Communication, Language and Literacy, using a range of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and rhyming texts.
The course will include:
• Principles of planning a unit of work for CLL in Reception with a focus on progressive, carefully considered oral and written outcomes
• Considering the approach of planning using the teaching sequence, ensuring communication and language is at the heart of the process
• Exploring current research evidence relating to strong foundations and the effective implementation of interactive reading and writing approaches
• Essential documentation to strengthen planning for daily CLL opportunities

I have been teaching Reception for many years and thoroughly enjoyed the approach showcased on this course. Totally up to date with regard to strong foundations. It totally reinvigorated my approach to teaching CLL! The presenters were incredible with such expertise and enthusiasm. I would highly recommend every Reception teacher attends this training.
