- To explore what is meant by adaptive and responsive teaching.
- To consider the importance of ongoing assessment and how this informs planning in EYFS.
- To consider the role of adult in modelling and scaffolding learning within the EYFS setting.
- To consider the difference between pro-active and reactive adaptive teaching and to have a range of strategies/ questioning techniques to support these.
- To explore practical ideas and strategies to make learning accessible for all children, including those children who are not on track for GLD, and to provide challenge for those children who are ready for further depth and breadth of learning.
This popular course , based on research and practical ideas, will consider the 'foundations' which need to be in place for effective adaptive and responsive practice within the EYFS classroom. It will give delegates a range of practical ideas, which can be applied immediately, to enhance their practice.
