This course will provide information about the needs and diversity of EAL learners. Teachers will explore planning effectively for all their EAL learners, including new arrivals and advanced learners, and using different strategies and resources to meet the needs of this varied group, allowing them to make progress. Practical ideas for adaptive teaching, including the use of technology, will be shared.

This course is ideal for teachers with EAL pupils within their class or for EAL coordinators who want to lead on developing practice in this area within their school. It could also be beneficial for HLTAs who are responsible for adapting teaching for EAL pupils.
