This course supports school staff in understanding and applying the requirements of the Equality Act 2010, the protected characteristics and the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED). Participants will explore how equality, diversity and inclusion underpin all aspects of school life from embedding equality into the curriculum and learning environment to policies and practice.

The session combines legal understanding with practical strategies, enabling staff to confidently promote inclusive practice across the whole school culture and ethos, and respond effectively to prejudice related incidents in school by promoting respectful and positive relationships.
