This full day session introduces staff to the PACE approach—Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy—as a compassionate and effective way to support pupils who have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) or trauma.
Through practical examples and reflective discussion, participants learn how PACE strengthens emotional safety, builds trust and helps children feel understood rather than challenged.
The course explores how to use PACE aligned language, connection and co regulation to reduce fear, prevent escalation and promote resilience, enabling pupils to thrive in a calm, nurturing school environment.
