Red rose collections enquiries

We can provide digital or paper copies from the following Red Rose Collections:

  • Image archive

  • Historical documents

  • Police index

  • Preston Guild Rolls

To request a copy and get a price, contact Lancashire Archives. Include the iBase ID number and a short description of the item.

Items we cannot copy

We do not provide copies from the Float collection.

Sharing and saving images

You can use the share button to post an image to social media, or save a low‑resolution version from full screen. These images are only for personal use or private study.

Using images for other purposes

You will need to know the terms and conditions of an image if you want to reuse it. Email redrose.collections@lancashire.gov.uk

Newspapers

Newspaper articles in the Newspaper Index are not available as digital copies. They are only indexed, not scanned. To get a copy, you will need to:

  • visit the library where the newspaper is kept

  • or contact the library and ask them.

If the library can provide a copy, they will tell you the cost. Costs will depend on copying, postage and administration.
