Ormskirk Library will close temporarily at 5pm on Saturday 24 January 2026 to enable a new roof to be fitted. The work will take at least six weeks, after which the library will partially reopen for the public whilst the work is completed. All works are planned to finish by mid-May. Please note: during this time there will be no toilet available for customers.

Events and activities
You and your family can attend a range of reading, learning, craft and cultural events and activities. Most are free, some have a small charge and some need to be booked.
Access and parking
There is one disabled car parking space and a bicycle park at the front of the library. Nearest public car park is on Burscough Street.
There is a ramp for easy access to the library.
