Medici TV (external link)

  • Medici TV features over 3,500 musical works filmed from the 1940’s through to the present day and 2,000 films including concert, documentaries, operas, ballets and master classes in High Definition.
  • Medici TV have kindly offered free access to Lancashire library users until the end of April.
  • To login, On the page link above, click on 'Log In' NOT 'Ask for a free trial'. Under 'Which institution are you from?' search 'Lancashire' and select 'Lancashire Libraries'. Then, under Lancashire Libraries, on the right, enter your library card number (omitting any spaces or letters) and click 'Go'.

Oxford Music Online - Grove Music online (external link)

  • Resource for music research with articles written charting the diverse history and cultures of music around the globe. 
  • Includes the Dictionary of Opera, Dictionary of Jazz and Encyclopaedia of Popular Music.

Oxford Bibliographies (external link)

  • Articles written and reviewed by experts with original commentary and annotations.
  • The Victorian Literature module includes annotated bibliographies on over 100 topics including Gender, Charles Dickens, Race, and many more.
  • In the British and Irish Literature module you’ll find over 100 bibliographies, including topics such as Arthurian Literature, John Keats, and Christopher Marlowe.
