There are exciting changes coming to the Harris!
We are thrilled to have received £4.5 million from the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of a £10.2 million large project to refurbish the Harris, making improvements to the building, displays and the way we work.
This means that we are going to be closed for a while as the work is carried out.

However, when we re-open we will have a new space for schools and groups which will be bigger and brighter, inspiring learning through objects and activities. We’ll be working on new school sessions and refreshing old favourites for when we can welcome you back.

Digital learning

Take a look at our online resources on the My Learning website. You’ll find images and suggested activities on topics from Victorian Preston, local stories from the First World War, and a famous women’s football team.
