Extra Care schemes currently in development

The below schemes are currently in development by Lancashire County Council and its partners. These schemes are actively being built and will be purpose built Extra Care schemes:

Atrium (Preston)

This scheme is currently in development and the build is due to be completed in Spring 2024. Once completed this scheme will be 61 Apartments (both 1 and 2 bedroom). Further information on the scheme and how to express interest can be found via: The Atrium - Community Gateway Association

Dovestone Gardens (Burnley)

This scheme is currently in development and the build is due to be completed in late 2024. Once completed this scheme will be 90 Apartments (both 1 and 2 bedroom). Jubilee Gardens (Leyland)

This scheme is currently in development and the build is due to be completed in Spring 2025.  The development is being brought forward by South Ribble Borough Council and is located on West Paddock in Leyland.  The scheme will deliver 75 apartments (mix of both 1 and 2 bedroom) alongside a café and hair salon which will be available to both residents and the local community. The scheme will be available to residents aged 55 or above.

St Martins Court (Lancaster)

This scheme is currently in development and the build is due to be completed in Summer 2025. Once completed this scheme will be 92 Apartments (both 1 and 2 bedroom)  to individuals aged 55 and over.  The scheme will offer the opportunity to enjoy an active and more independent lifestyle in their own property with the reassurance of care and support from a 24-hour on-site team of professionals, as and when they need it.

Each apartment will have generously sized rooms, a kitchen, a wet floor shower room, spacious living space and 24-hour on-site care support.

Residents of the extra care scheme will also be able to take advantage of a communal lounge and entertainment area, assisted bathing, spa bathing, hairdressing facility, a games room, roof terraces, laundry room landscaped gardens, and a wide range of social opportunities.
