Leading Year One Teacher Scheme

The Lancashire Early Years Quality Improvement Team and Advisory Team are committed to the development of high quality Year One practice in all schools. The Leading Year One Teacher Scheme contributes to this by identifying and supporting teachers who demonstrate exemplary practice and who are able to share their professional knowledge and expertise with others.

Through this scheme, headteachers, teachers and support staff are offered valuable  opportunities to observe high quality teaching and provision. They can also engage in focused professional discussions with lead teachers who work within comparable school contexts, supporting meaningful reflection and improvement.
