The Lancashire Quality Award - The Next Step: Embedding Effective Early Years Pedagogy for the 21st Century

This programme is particularly relevant for schools who have previously undertaken ‘Step into Quality’.

This is a quality improvement programme which has been extremely successful in raising standards and securing outstanding practice in the early years in Lancashire schools.

  • Embed existing good EYFS practice and evidence outstanding features
  • Raise outcomes for all children with particular reference to PSED and the development of learning behaviours
  • Evidence a climate which fosters healthy attitudes to learning and build effective teaching strategies to ensure children develop autonomy
  • Close the gap and ensure structured well documented catch up for vulnerable learners
  • Ensure children consistently demonstrate the characteristics of learning

With an additional focus on:

  • The role of the adult in supporting learning within the observation, assessment and planning process
  • Raising ambitions for children

The programme includes:

  • An introductory training session for the EYFS team and Headteacher
