Travel assistance grant values 2023/24

Band	Value
Band 1 – Up to 5 miles	£2200 per school year
Band 2 – Over 5 miles up to 10 miles	£3300 per school year
Band 3 – Over 10 up to 15 miles	£4400 per school year
Band 4 – Over 15 up to 20	£5500 per school year
Band 5 – Over 20 up to 25	£6600 per school year
Band 6 – Over 25 miles	££0.45 per mile to and from the school and based on a standard return trip. *An enhancement of 10% will be added to this calculation for the grants operating in the 23/24 school year

All the above are based on 190 days travelling and would be pro rata for fewer journeys, for example weekly or termly residential students.

Grants are paid over 11 months (September to July, no payment in August).
