Pointer Roundabout improvements
We're improving Pointer Roundabout in Lancaster to make it safer and easier for everyone to use.
The scheme includes:
New pedestrian and cycle crossing points on the roundabout approaches.
Improved walking and cycling routes.
Better signs and road markings.
Resurfacing sections of the road.

Following public engagement on the early design, we are now moving forward with the scheme.
To deliver these improvements, the following Traffic Regulation Orders are being formally advertised:
New parallel pedestrian and cycle crossings on Ashton Road, South Road, Bowerham Road and Greaves Road.
Removal of the existing zebra crossing on Greaves Road.
New priority crossing points on Railway Street and Meadowside.
New shared-use and segregated footways and cycleways throughout the scheme.
