Volunteering

The Lancashire Volunteer Partnership is a group of public service organisations working together across Lancashire. It started in 2016.

The partnership provides a single gateway (one main way in) to public service volunteering. This makes it easier for people to get involved and support their local community.

By volunteering, you can help build a stronger, safer and more connected Lancashire.

Our mission

The Lancashire Volunteer Partnership exists to:

  • reduce vulnerability and social isolation

  • improve health and wellbeing through community support volunteers

  • empower volunteers to make a meaningful impact

  • strengthen community cohesion (how communities work well together) across Lancashire

Volunteers support local people and public services. These include museums, libraries, services for older people, and children’s services. Your time and skills help support communities across Lancashire.

Who can volunteer

Everyone is welcome to volunteer.

The partnership is inclusive and values diversity. It works to remove discrimination, improve equality, and support good relationships between people.

Volunteers come from many backgrounds. This includes young people aged 11 and over, as well as retired people. Everyone brings different skills and life experience.
