Look out for Lancashire
Enjoy winter in Lancashire by getting involved locally, spending time with others and supporting your community. Help build a stronger county we can all be proud of.
Check on vulnerable people
Winter weather can make daily life more difficult, particularly for vulnerable people who may not be able to get out and about as easily. We can all make a difference by checking on those who may need a bit of extra help.
Keep an eye on elderly and vulnerable friends, relatives and neighbours who may be more susceptible to the cold weather, especially if they suffer from any ongoing medical conditions. Ask how they are keeping warm during cold weather.
Make sure they’re stocked up with enough food supplies for a few days, in case they can't go out. Find more advice about keeping well at home.
If someone needs more support, get in touch with us. Find out more about the help available for adults and carers.
Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to try new things, meet new people and earn a warm glow by helping others.
There’s a wide range of activities you could get involved in, from supporting older people who may feel isolated at home, to helping others improve their digital skills.
