Beacon Counselling Trust offer a free and confidential structured and evidence based treatment and support service for anyone experiencing or at risk of experiencing gambling related harms. This includes affected families, friends and partners. The support can be provided one to one, for couples or in a group setting. We are part of the National Gambling Treatment Service and the biggest provider of treatment in the North West of England and offer a care co-ordinated approach, working with other services to offer a holistic network of support for each of our service users. There is no waiting list for this service.

BCT also provide educational programmes including the ‘Bet You Can Help’ programme, a first aid approach to tackling gambling related harms, one of our key target groups is the armed forces community.

Another of Beacon’s programmes is the Six to Ten Project’ which looks at supporting those affected by somebody else’s gambling. This puts affected others at the centre of care to help individuals overcome many of the challenges gambling harms present in everyday life. The projects mission is to create a free, holistic support and a safe space for those affected to help mitigate the harms through intervention, prevention and importantly building resilience for the future.
