Local Government Reorganisation briefings
A huge thank you to everyone who joined our recent LGR staff briefings, where we shared the latest updates following the government’s decision on Local Government Reorganisation.

LGR Programme Office
The LGR Programme Delivery Office is currently being set up. It will plan and coordinate the work needed to deliver LGR across Lancashire.
It will bring together expertise from all councils involved, including programme management, communications, finance, data, legal services and people services.
The office will support informed decisions, manage risks and keep everyone updated.
Mark Wynn, Chief Executive of Lancashire County Council, has been appointed as the Senior Responsible Officer for the LGR Programme, with overall responsibility for leadership, governance and delivery.
Mark will continue as our Chief Executive, providing us with continuity and leadership throughout the programme.
Peter Lloyd has been appointed as LGR Programme Director and will lead the programme day to day, coordinating activity, overseeing progress and supporting delivery across Lancashire.
We are recruiting to Peter’s previous post of Director of Digital now that he has moved into his new role.
The Programme Delivery Office will first put strong planning, coordination and governance arrangements in place to identify opportunities, challenges and key decisions and will provide more information about this work as plans move forward.
