Independent financial information and advice about care costs
Independent financial information and advice can help you understand care costs, your payment options and how decisions may affect your finances.
Free financial information
Free information can help you understand benefits, care charges and the options for paying for care. This type of information can help you understand your options but does not recommend specific financial products.
You can get information from our Welfare Rights Service and national charities.
Regulated financial advice
A regulated financial adviser can give personalised advice about pensions, investments, property and financial products. You will usually pay for this service.
We cannot recommend an individual adviser.
If you are unhappy with financial advice
If you are unhappy with financial advice from a financial organisation, contact the organisation first and follow its complaints process. If you are not satisfied with its response the Financial Ombudsman Service may be able to help.
