Welcome to our @lancashirecc community

We encourage you to comment, ask questions and engage with us on our @lancashirecc social media channels. Our aim is to create a safe, respectful and helpful online environment for everyone.

When we monitor our channels

Our social media accounts are monitored Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.

We’ll do our best to respond to enquiries within these hours.

For urgent issues about social care or highways, please contact our customer service centre.

How to engage with us online

To keep our social media spaces welcoming and constructive, we ask all users to follow these guidelines:

Be respectful

  • Treat all users with courtesy and respect.
  • Keep your comments civil, relevant and constructive.

Avoid harmful or abusive behaviour

The following types of content are not permitted:

  • Swearing, threats, harassment or personal abuse
  • Defamatory, libellous, obscene or discriminatory language
  • Hateful or inflammatory comments
  • Personal accusations against individuals (we may direct you to our formal complaints process)

Keep discussions safe and on topic

Please do not:

  • Post spam or repeated messages
  • Advertise products or services
  • Share personal or sensitive information about yourself or others
  • Post copyrighted material you don’t have rights to
  • Share misinformation or disinformation

Moderation and enforcement

To maintain a safe and inclusive community, we reserve the right to:

  • Hide or remove posts that breach these guidelines
  • Block or report users who repeatedly break the rules or behave abusively
  • Escalate serious issues (such as threats or illegal behaviour) to the platform or relevant authorities

We may also choose not to respond to disruptive or abusive comments.
