All priority routes in Central and South Lancashire to be gritted this afternoon, evening & overnight

All priority routes in Central and South Lancashire to be gritted repeatedly starting this afternoon and continuing through the evening and overnight into tomorrow morning.

We have weather predictions of ice and sleet, and road surface temperatures falling well below zero until around lunchtime tomorrow. We will repeatedly apply salt to priority routes to account for ice on wet roads and the risk of washoff.
