About the role
We are delighted to tell you about an exciting role that we have created as part of our service re-design.
We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to join us in the role of Director of Commissioning, Provider Services and Care Market Oversight as part of our Adult Services directorate. The role consists of two core elements:
- Lead and shape Lancashire's wider adult social care market
- Lead and shape the delivery of in-house provider services, run by Lancashire County Council
As a key member of the Adult Services Director Leadership Team (DLT) this is a unique opportunity to drive Living Better Lives in Lancashire, our vision for social care, which supports people to live independently, achieving what they want to in a place they call their home.
Your strategic influence will shape a thriving care market. Enhancing strategic partnerships, you will ensure we offer high quality and sustainable care to residents of Lancashire. To deliver this you will need expertise in strategic commissioning, contract management, and provider services.
Your ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with strategic partners, including health, district councils, and the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise sectors, will be crucial in delivering value for money and improving care sufficiency for our residents.
This role requires a leader who can develop strategy with the insight of how to implement this into operational practice. You will also need to be visible and engaged within the services you lead.
If you are an energetic and driven leader, passionate about making a difference, and ready to lead with innovation and excellence, we invite you to explore this opportunity further and join us in shaping the future of social care in Lancashire.
