These A6 cards can be used to support the teaching of the pre-cursive letter formation phrases linked to the Red Rose Letters and Sounds Planning Programme. These cards support the teaching of the pre-cursive handwriting style. Each full colour, Single-sided flashcard includes the phrase used to teach the formation of that letter with the letter on the reverse. 

It is recommended that when teaching pre-cursive letter formation, a phrase is used in order to embed the directionality and all letters start from the line. All adults who teach pre-cursive letter formation are encouraged to use the same approach as children learn effectively through repetition.
