PIVATS accredited providers programme

Consider becoming a PIVATS accredited provider

  • The PIVATS accredited provider programme is an agreement with Lancashire County Council to become a named provider of PIVATS training
  • This would usually be agreed with another local authority, MAT or group of schools where there is no neighbouring PIVATS Accredited Provider

Benefits of becoming a PIVATS accredited provider

  • Training and materials to enable personnel within your organisation to become accredited trainers who are equipped to deliver PIVATS training, across your group, at a self-determined cost;
  • Extensive support to assist accredited franchisees in the delivery of the afore-mentioned training;
  • Updated training and resources as necessary;
  • Materials for schools/establishments within your group at a reduced cost
  • PIVATS accredited provider logos will be provided to all accredited trainers

"For a number of years now I have been a PIVATS Accredited Trainer and use it regularly within my role in supporting CYP. The idea behind PIVATS and the step by step milestones and descriptors have enabled me to specifically support subjects accurately and effectively. I can honestly say the team are second to none in terms of training and support after training and beyond. The tool kit is easy to follow and the additional extension packs and resources compliment it securely. Progress of the CYP can be monitored and tracked effectively in order to support them well and move them on to the next stage within each subject. A hard copy profile for the CYP can support any adult working with them, meaning the work is on hand and is accurate and familiar. CYP can see what they have already achieved, without it being noticeable that they are working below their peers, as all milestones are laid out in the same way. When supporting a CYP I will always start by showing them what they already know, and explain what we would be working on. Once they are secure with the area of work I allow them to highlight the target themselves and discuss with them, what comes next. I my experience CYP have been proud to show teachers and parents what they can do and have a secure understanding of what they are currently learning."

"I have been working with the Lancashire PIVATS team for a number of years now and they have been the most incredible team to work with. They provide extensive training, follow-up support and are remarkably responsive to any query I have ever had. The resources and updates I receive are clear and useful for dissemination. Nothing seems too much trouble and no question is considered silly to ask, they are so supportive. Schools in my area are becoming increasingly impressed by PIVATS and how it can support their CYP in school and the training resources from Lancashire are plentiful. I would highly recommend them as a training provider and join their franchise for your area"

"We have been part of an accredited provider agreement for a good number of years now because it works for us and we feel part of the bigger team. We have always found the arrangement to be positive and supportive. The PIVATS team are very helpful and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble and the response to queries is always very swift. Our views are actively sought, and our feedback, based on our schools’ experiences, is always welcomed and taken seriously. We feel that, over the years, we have been able to support the PIVATS development team and have helped to influence the re-writes of PIVATS over time.  We feel very much part of the PIVATS “family” and believe that the positive and strong relationships we have built with the PIVATS team have been very beneficial. The team are always helpful, quick to respond, easy to contact and very accommodating."
