Forgotten PIN

there is a Reset your PIN option on the library catalogue. You should receive an email enabling you to reset your PIN. If you do not receive an email (remember to check your Spam folder) it probably means we do not have your current email address listed on your library membership. In this case to get your PIN you will need to:

Factors affecting login

Overdue books, outstanding charges your postcode and expired accounts, may block your access to our digital library.

If you have problems with your account, we will try to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

  • If you have overdue books these can be renewed online or by telephone 0300 123 6704. Your library card number and PIN are required.
  • If you encounter any problems with this process, please contact us using Ask A Librarian.
  • If your account is blocked due to outstanding charges, please contact us using Ask A Librarian.
  • If your account has expired, please complete our Keep in Touch form and we will update it immediately.

Technical issues

PressReader Technical Issues - If you are having technical issues with the PressReader App it may be worth uninstalling and re-installing the app. You can check if you have the latest version by going to the Play Store or the Apple App Store. If you still have a problem you should report this direct to PressReader from within the App.

To do this:

  • Click on More (three dots)
  • Go to Settings
  • Scroll down to Info
  • Click on Feedback and say Yes to submitting technical records.
  • Add a comment or description of your problem and click to send

The log automatically included with the email will help them to identify the problem.

BorrowBox Technical Issues - If you are having technical issues with the BorrowBox App or an eBook or Audiobook you are reading in it (e.g. freezing or jumping of pages etc.) it may be worth uninstalling and re-installing the app. You can check if you have the latest version by going to the Play Store or the Apple App Store. If you still have a problem you should report this direct to BorrowBox from within the App. 

To do this:

  • Click on the menu in the top right corner and choose Settings.
  • Click on Send Feedback and choose your email client.
  • A new email addressed to BorrowBox Support will open.
  • Add a comment or description of your problem and click to send to BorrowBox.

The text attachment automatically included with the email contains a log report from the app with which they should be able to identify the problem.

Library Pass – Comics Plus Technical Issues - If you are having technical issues with the Library Pass App or comics you are reading in your browser, you can send Library Pass a Support request (there is also a link to this at the very bottom of the Library Pass webpages) or via app, go to the main menu and choose Help & Feedback.
