Register as a warm space
If you are an established venue within Lancashire and can offer a warm, safe, and welcoming space to Lancashire residents during the winter months, please consider registering to our online directory and becoming a part of our network of warm spaces.
As part of the registration process, you'll be asked to confirm that you:
- Will comply with, and meet the spirit of, our Lancashire Warm Spaces Charter
- Are a building freeholder (owner), or have obtained all the relevant permissions from the freeholder to run the warm space
- Hold, and fully comply with, current and up to date:
- Public Liability Insurance
- Safeguarding policies and procedures
- Policy on food hygiene and/or allergens, as appropriate

Support for warm spaces
Support pack
You'll get a support pack once you're registered as a warm space. The pack will provide key messages, tips, and further guidance to support you to set up and run your warm space. The pack will include:
- Understanding the Lancashire Warm Space's Charter
- How to have difficult conversations
- Confidentiality
- Help with signposting and trusted sources
- Staff health and wellbeing
Advertising
There will be social media assets and other resources, to help you advertise your warm space.
Funding
If your organisation needs funding to support you to set up or improve your warm space, you may be able to apply for a small grant from the Lancashire warm spaces grant scheme.
