We offer a range of easily accessible services for adults aged 18 and over to support you, your friends, family and loved ones to live independently at home.
Support for carers
If you care for someone, you can get information and guidance to support you in your role.
This includes:
- Information on what benefits you might be entitled to
- short break support, which gives you a vital opportunity to take a break from your caring role.

You could also get specials support from The Lancashire Carers Service, who we commission to provide more specialist advice.
This includes information on:
- carers' personal budgets and support plans to those eligible
- help planning for an emergency situation, which would mean you cannot carry out your caring duties
- carers' assessments

Technology Enabled Care (TEC)
Technology Enable Care is where devices such as personal alarms and sensors for your home, linked to a 24/7 response centre.
When an alert is raised, we will contact friends or relatives, the emergency services or send a member of the mobile response team to help you.

AskSARA
Our AskSARA portal can give advice on equipment to make daily living easier without the need for a formal assessment.
It can also help you find useful information about products and where to buy them, helping you to live independently for longer.
