WELLCOMM - Let's get started

Who is this course for?

The Language Lead in your setting and any practitioner who will be undertaking the screenings using the WELLCOMM Toolkit
Settings with a WELLCOMM Toolkit

This set of three workshops will enable you to have a clear understanding of:

key words, the communication circle and the difference between understanding and expressive language
what is in your WELLCOMM toolkit
How to screen children accurately
How to use the Big Book of Ideas to provide support for children with a delay
How to involve parents in supporting their children's language development
How to access and use the Wizard to monitor children's progress

Choose which date you would like to join session 1 and then you will automatically be given a place on session 2 and 3.

Please note the same practitioners must attend all 3 sessions.

Session 1	21^st March 9.30am – 12 noon or 28^th March 1.30pm – 4pm	Getting started – A look at what you need to know before undertaking the screenings and a talk through how to use the screening materials
Session 2	17^th April 9.30-10.30am	Questions and answers following your trying out of the tools in your setting
Session 3	25^th April 9.30 – 11.30am	Using the Big Book of Ideas, Involving parents and using the Wizard
