This session is essential for those settings undertaking 'Step into Quality in the Early Years' Award and Lancashire Quality Award - The Role of the Adult.
It is a suggested session for the Lancashire Quality Award – Relationships with Children, Parents and the Wider Community.
Course content
This course explores the link with brain research and the vital role of the key person in nurturing attachments. It considers key times of the day and how to maximise learning potential during these times and how to support smooth transitions. The routines of the day are discussed in order to strengthen those positive relationships. It will cover the key person's role in documenting children's learning and liaising with parents/carers to influence the development of the home learning environment.
