This session is for all practitioners working with children under 5.

This session is recommended for those settings undertaking the Lancashire Quality Award – Birth to Three.

Course content

This new staff meeting package will support your whole staff team to reflect on and discuss together the observation, assessment and planning cycle for your own setting.

The recorded staff meeting session aims to:

  • provide an overview of the observation, assessment and planning cycle
  • consider if paperwork can be minimised in order to reduce workload
  • support practitioners to develop their curriculum intent for their current cohort of children
  • facilitate practitioners to develop long, medium and short term planning to implement their curriculum
  • consider strategies and systems for monitoring and evaluating curriculum impact

A copy of the 'Reducing the workload' publication will be provided along with a guide to using the recorded staff meeting webinar with your team and an activity booklet.
