Course content

Anne has more than twenty years’ experience and leadership in nursery, infant and primary schools in inner London. She developed and coordinated one of the first Early Years Units in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, in which nursery and reception age children were fully integrated. A freelance educational consultant since 2000 and a regular contributor to Nursery World.

An adoptive parent, Anne has a particular interest in supporting Looked After and adopted children in settings and raising awareness of the impact of early trauma and neglect. 

Anne has created four webinars for you to enjoy:

  1. The art and craft of telling stories - storytelling is a powerful way to engage young children and to support their communication and language development. In this session Anne explains how to approach storytelling and provides a wealth of ideas to try out
  2. Moving, grooving and talking – supporting language development through physical development, through the fun of moving and grooving is a great way to support development in all of the prime areas of learning
  3. A buffer for adversity – Understanding the impact of trauma in young children and the impact of attachment and relationship in supporting vulnerable children and their families
  4. Responding not reacting – Understanding children's behaviour
