Who is this course for?
This session looks at strategies and playful ideas to develop opportunities for writing in the outdoors.
This session is essential for those settings undertaking the Lancashire Quality Award – Early Writing.
Course content
This session looks at practical ideas to develop children's play to create exciting opportunities for writing in the outdoors. It looks at how writing for a purpose can be integrated into open- ended opportunities in the outdoors helping children to see writing as a means of communication.
There will be practical ideas for writing to incorporate writing into play experiences as well as opportunities for practitioners to reflect on their current practice and share ideas.
Please note this session will take place in the outdoors so please come dressed for the weather.
