Exploring 'Awe and Wonder' in the Early Years through Objects of Provocation
Who is this course for?
This hands on workshop is suitable for all practitioners working with children aged 1-5 years.
Course content
This workshop will support practitioners to tune into children's imagination, curiosity, and inquisitiveness.
- There will be many practical ideas and resources shared to inspire practitioners in their everyday practice
- We will discuss objects of provocations
- We will look at ways in which practitioners can tune into their children's fascinations and interests
- During the session we will discuss and share ideas on how we can provide an enabling environment indoors and out, to extend and enrich children's awe and wonder
The Education Inspection Framework 2021 states:
“It is the role of the setting to help children experience the awe and wonder of the world in which they live, through the 7 areas of learning".
