Curriculum - Knowing, doing and remembering more
Who is this course for?
Managers, leaders, practitioners who design and or deliver curriculum
Course content
This thought-provoking session is aimed at supporting managers, leaders and practitioners with their understanding of curriculum. It looks beyond the 3 I's of Intent, Implementation and Impact and unpicks what these concepts look like in practice. The content has been written with the aim of starting at the very beginning – going back to basics. It unpicks the concept of curriculum and takes you step by step through the what's, why's and how's. It explores curriculum design, and the key ingredients needed for creating a purposeful and meaningful spectrum of learning experiences.
In this interactive session you will be encouraged to pause and ponder and reflect on what this may look like in your setting. You will also be signposted to key learning points and reminders. Together we look at your intent and you will be supporting in devising a 'curriculum commitment'. You will then be able to take away the key learnings, to implement this effectively in your setting. We will then hold a follow up session online, to explore impact and how this has translated into quality practice.
If you have ever felt confused or unclear as to what your curriculum should look like or where you start in regards to planning your curriculum, then this is a professional development session for you.
Bonus: You will also receive a 35 page publication that supports the course content and will support you in embedding your effective curriculum.
