This session is essential for those undertaking the Lancashire Quality Award in Early Reading.

Course content

This webinar is delivered by Guest trainer Anne O'Connor.

Anne has more than twenty years’ experience and leadership in nursery, infant and primary schools in inner London. She developed and coordinated one of the first Early Years Units in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, in which nursery and reception age children were fully integrated. A freelance educational consultant since 2000 and a regular contributor to Nursery World.

The art and craft of telling stories - storytelling is a powerful way to engage young children and to support their communication and language development. In this session Anne explains how to approach storytelling and provides a wealth of ideas to try out.
