Expansion of Longridge High School

Following a consultation, members of Lancashire County Council's cabinet agreed on 2 February 2023 the proposed expansion of Longridge High School to provide an additional 225 places, by admitting 45 additional pupils to each Year 7 with effect from September 2024. This would follow the school exceeding its Published Admission Number by 15 places in 2023/24 via a temporary expansion within existing accommodation.

All the views of people who took part in the consultation were carefully considered before making this decision.

The council is responsible for making sure there are enough high-quality school places available to meet demand across the county, and the expansion of Longridge High School will help us to do this.
