Investment Opportunities at Lancashire Central

Lancashire Central at Cuerden is one of the largest mixed use and best connected development sites in the North West. From its strategic location south of Preston at the start of the M65, the M6 and M61 can be reached within five minutes. It is easily accessible to major cities including Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds and also a perfect location for national distribution.

We have recently unveiled indicative plans for this key site which will lead to more than £250m of public and private sector investment, around £200m in annual Gross Value Added (GVA), and bring more than 3,000 jobs to the area.

The plans will create 600,000 sq ft for logistics or other non-retail use, 260,000 sq ft of mixed commercial use such as food retail, a hotel and car sales, 130,000 sq ft for business and industrial hybrid units, and up to 210 homes.

Around 840,000 sq ft has been designated for general employment, such as logistics, warehousing and light industrial units.

The plans also include improvements to five key road junctions, adding capacity to the road network around this site.

Looking to the future

We are pleased to work with Maple Grove Developments, part of Eric Wright Group based in Bamber Bridge, as a commercial development partner. They will now bring their expertise to the plans for the site, before a planning application is submitted later this year.
