The first meeting of the new Cabinet took place on Thursday 5 June.
The portfolios of Cabinet, Lead Members, Champions and appointments to other positions were approved.
Items included the transfer of the Growing Places Fund to the Lancashire Combined County Authority, approval of appointments to outside bodies, a procurement report and agreeing the request made by Moor Park High School to close their sixth form.
An urgent item was approved by Cabinet to start a review into our finance and procurement arrangements. Cabinet will continue to work collaboratively with officers to look at efficiencies that can be achieved to deliver value for money.
Our new Enquiries System is now live for staff and councillors. This is the first phase, with plans to extend access to MPs and residents in the coming months.
The system will modernise enquiry handling, improve customer satisfaction and support staff to manage enquiries more effectively.
